Thanks for Community House Donations

The annual Spaghetti Dinner and fundraiser was not held for the second year in a row due to concerns about the continuing Covid pandemic. However, like the previous year, numerous and very generous donations were received in the dinner's place. The Lyon Village Community House (LVCH) Board continues to be very appreciative of the support demonstrated by Lyon Village residents and extends a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who donated last October, November and December. As a reminder, LVCH is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax-deductible. Receipts were provided to all donors. If you did not receive one or need another copy, please contact the LVCH Treasurer at lvchtreasurer@gmail.com.

While rental activity did resume in late summer of last year, it did not reach pre-pandemic levels. Then it dipped over the winter months as people were understandably cautious about gathering during the Omicron surge. The contributions help pay for the regular monthly utility expenses and weather the slow times. The board continues to make safety and aesthetic upgrades to the LVCH, which looks much improved. Those who have seen it would agree the completed projects have gone a long way to refreshing the space. The Community House remains open and available for rentals for when you feel comfortable to safely gather again. For rental information, please contact lvchrent@gmail.com.

As a reminder, the LVCH and the Lyon Village Citizens’ Association (LVCA) are two different entities. The sole purpose of the LVCH is to operate and maintain the Community House itself ,which is funded exclusively through rentals, the annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser, and donations. Your LVCA dues do not go toward maintaining the Community House.
